EDUCATION

Your Vote Texas is a 501c(3) non-partisan organization (EIN 99-2118743) dedicated to educating Texans on their right to vote and why participating in democracy is key to maintaining it. So many potential voters are confused about the process, believe their vote doesn’t matter, and don’t have time to do the research. Our mission is to inform and educate Texans using creative content, raise awareness about elections, encourage active participation in the democratic processes of government, and emphasize why it’s important for every Texan to vote.

​THE PROBLEM!

In 2022, 80% of the voting age population in Texas was registered to vote. But in the November 2022 midterm election, less than half of registered Texans voted. 

WHAT WE DO

At Your Vote Texas, we don’t just register new voters; we actively work to equip them with the information they need to be engaged citizens.

• We collaborate with local universities and community colleges to provide information on upcoming elections that can be shared on websites, social media, and newsletters.
• We procure street banners, signs, stickers and other materials to raise awareness of upcoming elections.
• We develop materials to explain the different methods of voting, why local and state elections are important, the number of elections we have in the state of Texas both in odd and even years, and what happens when you enter the polling center.
• We engage young voters in our democracy and take the mystery out of voting. And we work toward civic engagement for all Texans.

Your tax-deductible donation will go towards voter education and awareness and items like street banners, campus signs, stickers and other efforts to engage youth in Bexar County and surrounding counties.

​For the People

We will purchase Your Future Your Vote (or Tu Futuro Tu Voto) stickers that we will hand out to students who register (or are registered) during voter registration drives on campus. Each has a QR Code to our Texas Civics content.

​Dressing the Campus

We will purchase Your Future Your Vote (or Tu Futuro Tu Voto) signs and, in collaboration with the college, we'll strategically place the signs around campus to remind students why it's important to vote. Each has a QR Code to our Texas Civics content.

Digital Youth Outreach

We will secure digital media impressions on Instagram and other social media. Our messaging will include early voting dates, election day information, what's on the ballot, and other information to help young people vote.

Spreading the Word

We will install street banners in any one of 200 different locations across Bexar County. Our primary goal is to put banners around college campuses, but it's important to remind all voters about upcoming elections.
