Election Information

School Board elections are held on the first Saturday of May every year. There are 7 trustees that serve on staggered terms for 3 years. Elections rotate between the 7 trustees as follows:

Place 1 and 2
Place 3 and 4*
Place 5, 6, and 7

*The election in May 2025 for Place 4 is to complete the term vacated by a previous board member who left the board before the term expired in May 2026. Place 4 will have another election in May 2026 for a full 3-year term.

​​State law requires school districts to hold joint elections with cities and counties. This means that AHISD residents can vote for AHISD School Board elections at any Bexar County voting location.  To verify voter registration and view polling locations, visit Bexar County Elections website.
